Working with us
What does 2333D Build do?
2333D Build develops jewellery designs through CAD modelling, photorealistic rendering and STL print preparation. We help turn sketches, reference images and design concepts into digital files suitable for review, prototyping and the intended manufacturing process.
Who can work with 2333D Build?
We work with private clients, independent designers, jewellery businesses and manufacturers. You do not need previous CAD experience to start a project.
Can you create a design from a sketch or reference image?
Yes. We can work from sketches, photographs, written descriptions, technical drawings or existing jewellery samples. You should also provide any available dimensions, gemstone measurements and manufacturing requirements. Reference images may be used to communicate the intended direction, but we do not reproduce another designer’s protected work without permission.
What information should I provide?
Provide your reference material, jewellery category, dimensions or ring size, gemstone sizes, intended metal, manufacturing method, required deliverables and target date. We will identify any missing technical information before modelling begins.
Projects, pricing and revisions
How much does a project cost?
Pricing depends on design complexity, gemstone layout, number of components, required file formats, rendering and print-preparation requirements. A quotation is issued after the project information has been reviewed.
What payment is required?
A 70% deposit is required before work begins. The remaining 30% is payable after approval and before the final editable and production files are released.
How long does CAD development take?
Most projects take approximately 3–12 business days. The quotation will provide a more specific estimate. The timeline begins after the deposit and required project information have been received and may pause while client feedback or missing dimensions are awaited.
How many revisions are included?
Projects include between one and five revisions, depending on their scope and complexity. The exact allowance will be stated in the quotation. Changes to the approved concept, dimensions or gemstone arrangement may require an additional charge and more time.
What approvals are required during development?
Depending on the project, you may be asked to approve the appearance, dimensions, CAD geometry or final production files. Approval of a render confirms the appearance only; it does not automatically confirm that the model is ready for printing, casting or stone setting.
Files and production preparation
What file formats can I submit?
We accept common jewellery and 3D file formats for review. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure whether your existing file can be used.
What files will I receive?
Depending on the agreed service, deliverables may include editable 3DM files, STEP files, print-ready STL files, PreForm files and PNG or JPEG renders. The exact deliverables will be stated in the quotation or product listing.
Is an editable CAD file included?
Yes. Commissioned CAD projects include the editable 3DM file unless the quotation expressly states otherwise.
What is the difference between a 3DM file and an STL file?
A 3DM file contains editable CAD geometry. An STL is a mesh normally prepared for 3D printing and is considerably harder to modify. CAD-library listings will identify the exact formats supplied with each product.
Can you review an existing CAD model?
Yes. We can inspect an existing model and determine whether it needs repair, modification or rebuilding. Any production checks included in the service will be identified in the quotation.
What does production-ready mean?
A file is described as production-ready only for the manufacturing method stated in its specification. Relevant checks may include dimensions, wall thicknesses, tolerances, stone seats, closed geometry and print preparation. The manufacturer or casting workshop should still confirm compatibility with its own equipment and process.
Do you provide 3D printing, casting or physical shipping?
We currently provide CAD development, rendering and STL preparation. We do not currently provide physical printing, casting, stone setting, finishing or physical-product shipping.
CAD library, licensing and refunds
Do you work with international clients?
Yes. All current services and deliverables are supplied digitally, allowing us to work with clients in different countries.
Will my design remain confidential?
Yes. Client designs, files and project information remain confidential. Commissioned work will not be displayed in our portfolio, used for advertising or added to the CAD library without the client’s permission.
What is included with a CAD-library product?
Each product listing identifies the supplied file formats, editable or print-ready status, dimensions, gemstone specifications, manufacturing method, licence and any included renders or documentation. Check the individual listing because the contents may differ between products.
Can I modify a design purchased from the CAD library?
Yes. The purchaser may modify the design for their own permitted manufacturing use. Custom modifications by 2333D Build can also be quoted separately.
What does the standard commercial-use licence allow?
The purchaser may use and modify the design to manufacture physical jewellery for personal use or commercial sale. The digital files may not be shared, transferred, resold, sublicensed or uploaded to another website or marketplace. A file may be supplied to a manufacturer working directly for the purchaser, but that manufacturer may not retain or reuse it for another customer. Ownership of the original digital design remains with 2333D Build unless a separate transfer is agreed in writing.
What is your refund and cancellation policy?
CAD-library downloads: Purchases are normally non-refundable once the files have been accessed or downloaded. If a file is missing, corrupted, materially different from its description or cannot be opened in a stated compatible format, contact us within seven days. We will first replace or correct the file. If the stated problem cannot be resolved, a full or partial refund may be offered.
Commissioned CAD services: The 70% deposit becomes non-refundable once development has started. If a project is cancelled before work begins, the deposit may be refunded less any payment-processing charges. If 2333D Build cannot complete the agreed service, the amount covering undelivered work will be refunded. Applicable consumer rights remain unaffected.
